In 2018, a current study on blogging has shown that the least common blogging strategies are most likely to succeed. A design and development house surveyed more than 1000 bloggers and published the trend and statistics in a detailed report. The most effective part of this study is that it analysed what the top bloggers do uniquely. Though only a small fraction of writers offering blog content writing are doing things differently, the majority of them are putting these tactics in the work, seeing stronger results.
Publishing more than 2000 words articles
Only 18% of those who are surveyed are publishing articles with 2000 words or more. Among them who are actually publishing more than 2000 words article, say that it drives better results. On average, bloggers write a typical blog post with more than 1000 words.
Publishing more than one article per week
In the survey, just 21% of the bloggers publish more than one article weekly. 46% of them who publish more than once per week, states that it brings strong results. Content writers in India state that the frequency of blogging has gone down over the past 5 years. This year, most writers are publishing a few times each month.
Spending more than 6 hours in writing an article
As per the survey, 13% of writers are spending 6+ hours on each write-up. Among them who actually put 6+ hours, 39% has reported on seeing good results. On average, a writer spends 3.5 hours to write a blog post.
Creating own research
Just 25% of the bloggers surveyed say that they create their own research. Out of those who are into original research, 58% report seeing a positive result. Blog content writing experts who follow this tactic are 2.9x likely to see “strong results” in comparison to the ones who don’t.
Why the majority of bloggers are not into these things?
These uncommon tactics are difficult, time-consuming and expensive, thus, only a small percentage of bloggers are pursuing them. For most bloggers, it is not easy to spend more than 6 hours writing a 2000 words content by conducting her/his original research. Many bloggers have their own jobs. Hence, in order to accomplish these strategies and get “strong results”, they have to hire bloggers, maybe a team and an editor. If you are looking for your business to drive better results using content writers in India, this may be a worthwhile investment.
